The last image for this year is the twin brother of this previously posted image shot when hiking through the small village of Phakding on my way to the Nepali Everest BaseCamp.
The children were intrigued by this strange machine that captured their face and showed it to themself on a small screen.
The blue haze on their hair does not come from excessive photoshopping, but likely from the oily layer resulting from not too frequent washing :-)
Not sure if there will be any fireworks in Phakding tonight, but maybe you can think of their smiling dirty faces when you kiss your loved ones at midnight and you make the finding of your inner childish amazement and happiness one of your new year’s resolutions.
